About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make a positive impact on Earth, both ecologically and socially

ABOUT ME

I am into exploring the world as much as I can. No need to settle down, that can wait! For me there is no feeling quite like touching down in a new continent, seeing new faces, and leaving all expectations behind. I moved to Australia with my mountain bike in 2010. Mountain biking is a big part of my life, especially downhill racing which i started doing in 2005. I love my family and friends around the san francisco bay, and also feel at home in the santa cruz mountains, where some of the greatest forest tracks overlook the pacific. I work on a lot of different construction, landscaping, and boat projects, but one of my favorites is planting california redwood trees to restore natural habitat.
I just went to Cuba for my second time, and I will be back for sure.

PHILOSOPHY

Live in the moment. To get love you must love yourself first. If an opportunity for adventure arises, take it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I went to a couple local events and everyone was really cool. its amazing how when youre traveling and bring up couchsurfing, so many people have heard of it! Met quite a few awesome surfers, and I'm proud to have hosted my first guest, a really cool Swiss dude.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of the time, I have stayed with non-members I met hitch hiking or visiting foreign cities. I was very impressed by the kindness of people in every country i have visited, since many folks have helped me out voluntarily. Having felt what its like to be hosted, I try to make people welcome in our home as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

When hitch hiking, remember to smile, make a legible sign, look presentable, keep your backpack where motorists will see it, and most of all, stay positive!

If you are into mountain biking, lower your inside shoulder in corners while looking through the turn, work on drifting, brake before turns, and go all out.
