About Me

Hi!
I am Marta, from Barcelona and I am an Art Historian who went to New Delhi to study a Master degree in Archaeology and Heritage Management.
Since 2015 I've been settled in Delhi but in August 2019 I moved to Accra with my partner and our two dogs (Ghana).
I've been very lucky to be surrounded by culture and heritage all day long due to my work. I lived my dream in India.

I love travelling and meeting people from other parts of the world, to share our interests, cultures and have a nice time together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I went to India in 2014 I travelled throughout the subcontinent for 6 months. What made my trip even more exciting was meeting other people through Couchsurfing. Several hosts provided me accommodation and now I'm in debt with all the kindness that I received during the trip of my life.

Moreover, my partner and I like meeting people from all over the world, making new friends, having fun...

As I am an Art Historian, I am always ready to guide any traveller in the city ;)

Interests

I am a foodie, animal lover and crazy about Art, Buddhist and Hindu iconography.
Always ready to join any trip to visit a new place, I enjoy walking around the city or even talking about anything while having a tea.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While studying my Masters, I travelled to Kabul to work on my project about Salvage archaeology. Visiting Afghanistan, even if it was for a few days, was an experience that I will never forget: the warm heart of Afghan people, the landscape of the hills, their smile... (and the food!).

However, all my trips brought something new to me. Each country has its beauty, its charm.

Teach, Learn, Share

Never be scared, enjoy, be happy, share experiences and a bit of you with each other.
Life is about sharing and learning, listening, sharing love and kindness, about working together to make this world a better place.
