Hi! My name is Filip and I am from Croatia. I studied journalism and documentary filmmaking at Cardiff University.
I am passionate about playing guitar and watching and making films.
A glass of wine and some salsa dancing will also do!
If I am not making films or playing guitar, I am probably in the park hanging from the workout bars.

I first got to couchsurfing whilst doing my studies in Cardiff, hoping I would get to meet someone and discover new things.
I stuck around now, because it is a great way to meet people and see places.

Musica, film e libri

I love all kinds of music. I am a long time Buena Vista Social Club fan.
As a guitarist, I enjoy the likes of John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix, George Benson and Ry Cooder. Recently I have really enjoyed the music by Gregory Porter, Hollie Cook, Hozier and The Mighty Oaks. Pretty random, I know.

I am not too much of a bookworm, but when I start reading something, I really enjoy it.

I am really into documentary film and Joshua Oppenheimer's two films, 'The Act of Killing' and the sequel 'The Look Of Silence' are one of the best pieces I have ever seen.
'Searching For Sugar Man' is another great movie with some great music!

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I went to Sicily for three weeks to make a documentary film about migrants. I did not know the language and virtually anyone to talk to.
When I got there, I picked up the language along the way and met some really nice people and eventually, produced a 15-minute documentary that was broadcast on TV!

I am quite a devoted foodie. I love cooking which is a close second to the execution part that follows. ;)
I dance salsa, so I can show off a few moves.
I love playing guitar, so we can share some nice tunes as well!

Other than that, I can share some stories, great experiences and probably a few jokes. I cannot guarantee you will laugh though. :)
