I'm live in Vienna at the moment in a house-community with six people and a nice garden; I like to engage myself in different social-ecological projects and I'm studying Environmental Pedagogics at the moment. Me and my house-mates are in generally interested in a ecological live style, nonviolent communication and to meet up and receive people with different social and cultural backgrounds.

I 'm leaving in a house-community that has from time to time place and energy to host and meet people from different places.. We like to exchange with people from different social and cultural backgrounds and give them a nice stay in Vienna.

I'm also like travelling in a more alternative way, and I mostly prefer to stay with local people, in stead of renting an hostel or so; this give me more opportunities for authentic exchange with the places and communities I want to visit.

兴趣

In my youth I was engaged in JNM, an environmental youth organisation, where I not only could explore my interest and passion for nature and ecology, but also learned the importance and practice of self-organisation, political participation and strong democratic processes. It was a big learn school for live for me, and since then I was engaged in different social and ecological organisations and projects.

After being a high school teacher and equal chances coordinator for about 10 years, I moved from Brussels to Vienna. Here I started a Bachelor in Environmental Pedagogics and got engaged in as well the climate justice as the food movement.

I'm not only politically interested in food, but I just also love cooking and eating, especially with a group of people. I'm eating most of the time vegan/vegetarian, but I'm very flexible and not really a fundamentalist concerning food issues.

I was once in a beer club and now living in Vienna, I'm sometimes very nostalgic to my home countries beer culture; that's why always like to share drops of that culture with my housemates, guests and who is interested in it.

Me and my housemates are interested in nonviolent communication and generally I'm interested in group processes and how to deal with them.

After a that eating, beer drinking and absorbed with community live, I like to go out on my folding bike; I like generally to take tours and to travel on my bike.

Music: I'm not really into one particular genre. Recently I'm addicted to 'Moondog' and 'Wim Mertens'.

Movies: I like to watch an independent movie or o good documentary in a local small movie theatre. I'm still a bit in love with Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain.

Books: The Name of the Rose, The Dispossessed, Songs of Ice and Fire, De Stille Kracht, Karakter...

In the summer of 2009, I co-developed and co-organised an international congress in Guatemala on the impact of gold mining on indigene and local communities in Latin America.

I like just to exchange about food, cooking, social and political issues, culture during cooking and eating together.
I can teach a bit of the languages I know and I'm also interested to learn to speak them better: my mother tongue (Dutch), English, German, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
Sometimes, I like to tell about the history of my country.
I can teach the bits I know about nonviolent-communication and I'm always eager to learn more about it, or other methods to deal with social interaction/groups processes in an ethical and effective way.
I also like painting together.
