About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm a film student looking to work this summer on a film set in Louisiana. I'm heading down on a wing and a prayer with no job or a place to stay as of yet.
ABOUT ME
I'm a storyteller. I come from a long line of storytellers, on my mother's side of the family. All of my life I have loved movies and television shows and have only wanted to work on them. Growing up in MS there wasn't much education for film so I decided that theatre would be a great stepping stone for that. I ended up with an Associate Art Degree in Theatre and went on to get a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Design and Technical Theatre. I fell in love with theatre and pursued that life for about 10 years. It was very hard. I've had to deal with many disappointments but that hasn't stopped me.
I finally got off my tush, begged and borrowed money for film school, and at the age of 36 started over. I moved from MS to TN and started my new education at Watkins College of Art, Design & Film. I'm at the point in my life where it's a 'make it or break it' thought process. I'm going for broke. Film is, has, and will always be my life. It's time I got to it.
PHILOSOPHY
Karma. I firmly believe in it. I also believe in the Law of Attraction. What you put out comes back to you. I've seen it and it works. So I treat people the way I want to be treated; with respect and kindness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never done this before. A friend from filmschool told me about it when he found out I was looking for a place to stay when I decided to try and get a job on a film set in New Orleans.
Interests
I love traveling. I have been to many places in my 37 years of life. England, Scotland, Canada, Hawaii, etc.
I'm also an avid reader. I love urban fantasy and trashy romance novels. If I had all the money I've spent on books back into my checking account I'd be rich. But I wouldn't trade my love for books for anything in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lord there are so many books....Here are some of my favorite authors: Charlaine Harris, Laurell K hamilton, Patrica Briggs, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lora Leigh, Gini Koch, Nalini Singh...and the list goes on and on.
My music varies....I loved The Monkees growing up. I actually got to see them on their 20th Reunion Tour. Linkin Park, Jack White, Adele, Pink, Beastie Boys, etc. I love musical theatre so I appreciate that style of music. And most of the time I'm all about movie soundtracks. I normally don't buy an artist's album I buy soundtracks.
As for movies, there's not enough space or time for my list. I'm a huge fan of the fantastical. SciFi. Fantasy. Horror. I love it all. I'm not much into the wacky comedies of Will Ferrell or Ben Stiller though. I'm more into television like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Gilmore Girls, Stargate SG-1, Bones, Supernatural, True Blood, The Secret Circle and The Vampire Diaries. It's the imagination of the writers that I love. I see and deal with reality all the time so I love the extraordinary the most.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was able to spend 5 weeks of a summer in Great Britain during 1997. I was there to study Musical Theatre through the University of Southern Mississippi. I loved it. I was able to attend over 17 productions that ranged from Skylight to Beauty and the Beast. I got to travel to Stonehenge and see the White Cliffs of Dover. I walked through Canterbury Cathedral and West Minster Abby. I got to see Monet and Rembrandt paintings at The National Gallery.
I spent 4 weeks in London and 1 week in Edinburgh.
