Hi, I’m Finn, 19, from Germany and currently traveling the world – sometimes with friends, sometimes solo.
I grew up near the Baltic Sea, so water sports have always been a big part of my life. I love sailing, surfing, wing foiling and basically anything outdoors. Sports and being active are important to me, but I also really enjoy good conversations and learning from new people.
When I was 14, I crossed the Atlantic on a traditional sailing ship as part of a school project (Classroom Under Sails). That experience sparked my curiosity for traveling, and since then I’ve explored many parts of Europe and different cultures. After finishing school (Abitur, focus on math and physics), I worked on a construction site to save money for a longer journey.
Right now, I’m traveling through Peru with a friend. Along the way we’ve worked in hostels and a surf school, built a skate ramp, done long self-sufficient hikes, builded skimboards and tried to really experience local life instead of just sightseeing.
That’s why I love Couchsurfing: meeting locals, sharing stories, helping out, cooking together or just spending a relaxed evening. I’m open-minded, respectful and easygoing, and I’d love to learn more about your life and culture.
