My current mission is to try and make friends while travelling the world. I intend to depart from England in April for 12 months+

ABOUT ME

Hello folks, my name is Lee, 27, going grey (damn you laura! just kidding :) I was born in Bury in Lancashire, grew up in Rochdale, went to school in Oldham, University in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and now currently reside in Chester, Cheshire. At University I studied Sports Science and now I work for Bank of America. Not such a seemless link I hear you cry!!! The inbetween bit is a little boring but ill tell you if you ask. I live in a shared house in Chester with my best friends Jim the Jedi and Kev the Scally. Its always fun round our gaff! I love music, films, good company and my own time. I don't go to the theatre as often as I would like, open mic and comedy nights as well as live gigs are high on my agenda for the new year. Ill keep you posted. Anyway, I work hard, and enjoy my time off. Try to keep busy and well behaved. :)

I have no previous experience. I heard about it in the Lonely Planet and was intrigued so here I am :)

Centres d'intérêt

I enjoy playing my guitar, writing a few songs no-one will ever hear. I support Bury FC, admittedly not as avidly as I used to, to my shame. I love music, good films, rubbish films, hockey, gymnastics, fishing, sword fighting and of course my friends and family. I am a member of The Vikings, a re-enactment society. We wear authentic dark age costume and battle our way throught the day with sword and shield. In the evening we get together round a fire and drink ale and mead, much merriment is had by all as well as some sore heads the next day. Its really good fun. The group I fight for is called Cwmwd-Ial, we are based in North Wales and Chester. I have met some of my best friends there and I love them all, Martyn, Kim, Ian, Fiona, Pete, Helen, Al, Heidi, Geng, Steve, Warwick, Nuala and all the rest of the mad sods, they know who they are.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I have fought in a re-enactment of the Battle of Hastings with over 3000 people on each side. That was amazing. I am hoping my future travels will provide me with the most amazing experiances of my life.

I am a good sword fighter so I suppose i could teach that. I used to be a football coach if that helps too. I play guitar but only at an intermediate level but i could certainly help a beginner. :)
