I'm a friendly, easy going Aussie who loves to travel.
So far I've seen parts of Europe, Asia, Africa & South America.
The plan is to hit the US - California & Nevada - in Jan 2016.

I'm quite independent and happy to show myself around new places.
But also really social so would love to go out and about with hosts too.
A gracious house guest who likes to strike the right balance of comfortably sharing living quarters while respecting others space and privacy.

I have friends who are Couchsurfers and hosts and they keep recommending I try it. Beside accommodation it also seems to have a great culture of sharing, meeting & exchanging advice.

I love meeting new people, especially travelers. It's great to hear about other countries and life stories from different cultural perspectives. Melbourne is a place that's not huge on tourist attractions. It's way better to see by having coffee in secret alleyways, sharing great food or a drink on the latest roof top or pop up bar. I enjoy playing host in my home town.

I also love traveling and try to make it to a new country every year. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to get tips from locals about what is great to see and do, and occasionally company when I'm traveling alone.

I try to go by the philosophy 'don't knock it until you try it', so like to try new things at least once.
