About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to find my passion...and a home

ABOUT ME

Tim is retired from law enforcement but on a mission to find his creative side...hoping it's there. His career was in Mississippi (retired state trooper/investigator) but the last four years he lived in Afghanistan and Iraq (training police and soldiers), In between training missions he lives in Chiang Mai, Thailand with his girlfriend.

PHILOSOPHY

Balancing fear and wisdom, living life to its fullest every day is a daily choice. Choosing to understand the diversity in each of us with every individual account. Peace in the world but always willing to defend the weak and innocent at any cost.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy having friends, staying in touch. I also really like to see how we're all different and understand how we become as we are. In that sense I believe couchsurfing is about teaching, learning and sharing...and I do have some of that terminal wanderlust.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

couchsurfer in training; no experience just yet...

Music, Movies, and Books

"The Last of the Mohicans". I know it's old but there's a story here.

Music; all kinds except that which is vulgar or mean.

Books; self help stuff formerly but now reading more novels. I liked the Girl With the Dragon Tatoo series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My children to grow into adulthood to be decent, kind loving humans and better parents than I was ever.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning new ways to be compassionate, sharing understanding for others who might see things differently. Learning how to live with less material things and be happier with more important friends and family. Sharing music, good times and teaching each other by example. Realizing special moments shared together with a friend is truly the "spice of life".

Countries I’ve Visited

United Arab Emirates

Countries I’ve Lived In

Afghanistan, Iraq, Thailand, United States
