ABOUT ME

My name's Erik. I'm a a crazy-fun person who is caring, understanding, compassionate, and very muh a kid-at-heart. I'm pleasent and usually have my wits about me. I respect others to my fullest extent, and only ask that I get the same treatment in return. I'm very sarcastic, at times, but in a way that doesn't hurt anyone's feelings. "Spontaneous" is my middle name. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Love is the best and worst part of living. I believe everyone should live in the moment... the ETERNAL moment. Spontaneity is the spice of life. No one can/should be stopped from loving who they love. Everyone is equal. If don't have something nice to say, be sure you can take it before you dish it out.

Interests

I love meeting new people and making new friends. I would absolutely love to be able to go to a different city, stay with a complete stranger, make friends with them, and after it's all said-and-done, be able to look back with a smile and say "I did that." I'm all about new experiences and enjoy making the most of the moment. I love to study astrology and tarot, dance, smoke, drink, laugh, be loud and crazy, relax.... dance. Hahaha! I'm interested in making the most of my life in these difficult times, and in the times to come. I'm interested in living. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a lot of fantasy. The Inheretence Cycle is my favorite series of books. Musically, I'm inclined to listen to a lot of techno/trance/electronic music, as well as alternative rock. Imogen Heap and Tori Amos are my favorite musical artists, as well as anyone else who uses a beat and their imagination.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've stood on the edge of the Grand Canyon at midnight one mid-summer's eve and gazed up at the hundreds-of-thousands of stars that shown in the city-lightless black of night.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fascinated by words. I have a large vocabulary, and can be a nazi about grammar and puncuation (though I can't spell tremendously well. lol.)

I guess I can say that my favorite hobbie is Astrology. The entire study simply astounds me. It is one of the oldest "religions" on the planet, dating back to Sumer civilization that existed in Mesopotamia (that's over 7,000 years old). It's much, much, much more complex than people think, invovling not only signs (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, etc...), but also planetary characteristics and angles, houses, and many other sub-levels. It's an intense area of study and requires a lot of dedication, but, I believe, is well worth the time and effort.
