I'm Jill, currently living on the Big Island of Hawaii in the rainforest. Loving the Hawaiian way of life and meeting so many fellow travelers by managing at an eco-hostel...

Right now I can't host but I hope that changes soon! Looking to settle somewhere in Hawaii after a long year off traveling. Can't wait to reconnect and meet more people and share some experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is change, an ebb and flow, a river of shared experiences. To box them up in a brown paper parcel is impossible, but dive in, relish in the river's onward motion/twists and turns and enjoy the ride.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only ever surfed, not hosted in the traditional "CS" fashion..but I'd love to get into it when I settle into a place. I love encouraging others to get into CS, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only just begun to couchsurf and so far LOVE it. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a unique traveling experience.

Music: Too much to name; mostly rock/classic rock/alternative/worldly/psychedelic/anything that sounds good and makes you pause and say, Hmmm, now THAT sounds good!

Movies: Cohen brothers movies are great, Wes Anderson films, love Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Alejandro Jodorowsky. Favorite actors include: Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Steve Buscemi, John Goodman, basically too many to name. I love a good movie!
