Meditation, exercise, and exploring are important parts of my life.

I am a researcher specializing in World War II with an IT background.

I pride myself on my sincerity and ability to accomplish meaningful things. In business I designed and implemented software QA methodologies that remained in use to this day. Long after I moved on. This is quite a feat in a fast changing software development world.

My current projects are quite independent. This means I do a lot of self-motivated work, and a bias to build a positive production cycle even when I travel. While you stay with me, or when I visit, I greatly value contribution to my productivity, however indirect it may be. It may mean a synergetic connection that vitalizes me, studying with me in parallel, or helping me focus on my goals in some other way.

I aim to be direct and straight forward about my goals, challenges or requests, coupling that with diplomacy, and humor where appropriate. Not a fan of judgmental approach to life or political correctness that leaves the realm of reason. My general approach to arguments is this: If you want to do good, help real people and contribute to a cause you deem worthwhile. Do not be a keyboard warrior or some derivative of it.

Community
I participate in the community via volunteering and doing good without permission or reward. One of the programs I volunteer for gives me free passes to local bike shares. I have a regular membership, so the passes can be given to couchsurfers or my friends. I often can get FREE pass for you to use our bike sharing program in our city.

Movies: Men who stare at goats(fun and surprisingly realistic portrayal of the military), Dr. Strangelove (amazing film!), pixar/disney movies(#lifelessons and humor), Hayao Miyazaki films(deep movies).

Books: Russian classics, American classics, books in my field.

Music: varies with mood and context. Oftentimes I enjoy listening to something that is meaningful to the company I am with.

I helped an Israeli researcher visiting the National Archives in Washington DC. We are friends to this day.

I stayed with a friend of a friend with I visited DC. We made a meaningful connection and I helped him get a meaningful role with an organization he cares about.

Meditating at the Grand Canyon, Arizona.

Meeting an Army friend when we both were traveling in Germany.

I am a lifelong learner and have accumulated a variety of skills and useful information.

Meditation. I do it daily, and very open to sharing a positive meditation experience.

Academia. I have written referrals and guided people toward top universities: Harvard MIT, Boston University. Also US Army and job recommendations. Perhaps we can talk about this, if we connect.

Join my military history research. Really! In past this could become both a useful and an unforgettable experience. Wether working with primary sources, accessing something not readily accessible or visiting a landmark otherwise left unexplored.
