Hey everyone my name is Fisher and I'm currently a junior in college at Virginia Tech. This past year I have become inspired and determined to travel to places that I have never been before. I want to see different parts of the United States, Europe, Australia, and anywhere else that my opportunities will take me. I was born and raised in Richmond, VA with my family. Some of my interests include sports, exercise, music, cooking, and overall someone always ready to experience something new.

My older sister was the first person who told me about Couchsurfing and I've always had it in the back of my mind for when I began to travel. I want to use Couchsurfing because as an aspiring traveler, who better to stay with and learn from than people just like me? Couchsurfing is a way to expand my network and connect with a community that extends beyond just one city or town, but multiple countries and cultures!

I listen to all sorts of different music ranging from classic rock to hip-hop/rap, country, R&B, jazz, and sometimes even classical when I'm trying to study. Movies are a wide range too but I really like the comedy and action genres, but really enjoy classics such as Good Will Hunting or Forrest Gump. Lately I've gotten much more into reading and really enjoy books written about the experiences and findings that authors have gone through. I also like theories and thought-provoking books as well.

I've become president of an organization at my school called Be the Match. We work to expand the bone marrow registry for cancer patients in need of a life-saving transplant. Just this past school year, my organization and I registered over 500 new potential donors. We continue to work and expand the registry so that cancer patients increase their likelihood of living a free and healthy life again.
