About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hawaii for 2+ months, maybe Antarctica and Africa after... :)

ABOUT ME

I've been traveling intensely for a long time (4+ years), but only now am I getting on Couchsurfing....I waited too long!

I just moved out to Hawaii, met some cool people really involved with this site, hoping to expand my friend group and help some folks out!

PHILOSOPHY

Here are two of my favorite quotes:

"Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone." - Ella Wheeler Wilcox

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read but a single page." - St. Augustine

I'd like to think that these are both pretty applicable to Couchsurfing ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I meet up with people, show them around - I try to get lunch and talk with Couchsurfers, sharing life experiences and world views!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Pretty fun ones, mostly hanging out with people drinking kava (traditional Hawaiian drink) or eating at the local mall: the food court is one of the oddest in the US, in my opinion.

Interests

I spend a lot of time sitting on buses and thinking - sharing thoughts and stories with others, and hearing their opinions is one of my favorite things.

Lots of other books, lots of other movies, too many bands

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things that I've ever done was running down a mountain by the light of a full moon.
This was in Argentina, after having hiked up the mountain and seeing an amazing sunset.

I've done some other amazing things(met the Dalai Lama and Amazonian shamans, to name a couple), but the most beautiful are always those little moments of beauty (I think!).

Teach, Learn, Share

Everything is a matter of perception, and perspective. A willingness to expand one's horizons and admit imperfection is the first step to true discovery, of not just one's self, but of the people and the world around us.
