ABOUT ME

We’re TW and Jo, two ordinary Singaporeans, who, one day, decided that there must be more to life than the routine of:

“Get up in the Morning => Go to Work => Get Home => Watch TV => Sleep” .

We didn’t want to work the whole year for our 21 Days of Vacation Time anymore.

Going against the conventional wisdom of saving up for retirement and THEN travel, we decided to “abandon all responsibilities” and embark on our world journey now…

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Technically, we started out "couch surfing" in Prague.

We were renting a room for a month from someone in the couchsurfing community there (hello Werni!). Due to the long duration of our stay, we can't really "couchsurf", but we met someone who did, including Werny himself.

It sounded like an awesome way to meet people, especially locals in the area, and so here we are!

Interests

Meeting new people, especially those from difference countries and cultural background. Sharing our experiences over a cup of beer/coffee/tea and a slice of cake.

Long meaningful meals/walks with each other (not too physically exhausting ones, please)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:

I suppose we can both teach a bit of our mother tongues
Mandarin - both
Malay - Jo

In addition, Jo is proficient at video editing and photo editing (media school trained)

And TW is a... bum.... Seriously, TW knows some naval navigation, such as reading of naval charts, celestial navigation, etc... (he was a sailor before deciding that he wasn't seeing enough of the world doing that). He is also semi proficient at photo editing (non trained, it rubbed off from the wife)
