ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Rebecca. My friends and family mean the world to me. I love to travel, meet new cultures, and experience new people. I currently teach middle school in Las Vegas. Busy with my kids during the week, but my weekends are free! The strip is fun, but there is a whole valley I can't wait to explore!

riding my bike, walking/ playing with my dog, exploring, reading-especially anything about history, grocery shopping, going to concerts, learning new languages, trying new foods, going to libraries and just having a good time wherever I may be.

I have loved the band No Doubt since I was 8 years old and relaxing with my 'oldies' radio station, namely listening to artists like The Four Tops, basically anything from Motown (Marvin Gaye, the Supremes, Tammi Terrell, etc.) is a pleasure I look forward to every afternoon. I love American southern gothic literature especially novels/ short stories by Mark Twain and William Falkner. I also love foreign language films (especially German films) because America just doesn't seem to be getting it right anymore (except I have a soft spot for all types of horror films)

I taught high school in Boston, MA for a year and now I teach middle school in Las Vegas, NV. I am not trying to be sarcastic when I say the experience is no only truly amazing but life changing and so beautiful. If you ever have any questions about teaching, please message me! I want to meet people who want to learn. For so long, I closed myself off and allowed my life to be dictated by what I thought I had to do and not what I wanted to do. I want to meet and learn from people who are doing what they love and have a deep, passionate love for it. I am trying to find that balance in my life and would love to know how they do it.
