About Me

Hello! I'm Flavio. I'm a student in the Conservatory of Turin. I'm 18 years old and I love to travel! Looking forward to have many couchsurfing experiences!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to broaden my horizons and live unique experiences by meeting people from all over the world and travelling. Doing this on a restricted budget though it's not that cool (I mean it is, but not for my economic situation). So I found out about couchsurfing. The overall trip cost is quite smaller and it gives you a head start with meeting people. So yeah, that's nice.

Interests

Practically all I've been doing is music. I produce my own songs. I have experimented with a lot of types of music such as breakcore, dnb, vaporwave, Avant Garde, trap, jazz fusion, progressive, noise and lo-fi.
l was also the drummer of 2 bands, but then I moved in Italy. They are "the confusion" and "telekinetic". With the confusion we played some sort of funk rock. We took part in various events such as the schoolwave festival and we have released an album! On the other hand telekinetic consisted of me and my friend on the guitar. Pretty much all of our songs were written and recorded with a phone in about two hours (each). We played some sort of mathrock that is not exactly mathrock but it's the closest thing I guess. We have uploaded like 5 songs recorded with the shitty camera and microphone of my phone on youtube and that's about it. I also play the guitar and a bit of piano.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most types of music when the song is somehow stimulating for me. Some albums for reference would be:

"the madness of many" by animals as leaders
"My love is a bulldozer" by Venetian snares
"Parallax" by phronesis
"Velocity : Design : Comfort" by sweet trip
"Artist in residence" by Jason Moran.
"Brokespeak" by Strobes
"Twin galaxies" by Delta sleep
"Speechless" by Fred Frith
"The shape of jazz to come" by Ornette Coleman
"Language" by the Contortionist
"Savage sinusoid" by Igorrr
"Sensimotor" by Luisine
"Grow" by CHON
"Sacrosanto" by Gomma
"Duck stab" by the Residents
"Destrier" by Agent Fresco
(Okay maybe I overdid it)

I've never been that much into books. Because of my attention disorder, I can't concentrate and I end up reading the same page 4 times without getting what happened. Despite that, lately I've started reading books about eastern philosophy. My favourite one yet is Tao te ching. What I've been reading until now is comics though. I usually find them more visually stimulating which helps me keep my attention to what I'm reading. My favourite comic artist is Zerocalcare

I dont really watch movies.
I mean I do, but I will not sit and watch a movie by myself. When I do its usually with a group of friends so I don't really care what we're gonna watch. I can enjoy pretty much everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some things about music production and we could make a song! I'd really enjoy to exchange information about our cultures and engage in meaningful conversations (I especially enjoy philosophical ones). I can also tell you about sustainability and how to implement it in your everyday life.
