Hi, I’m Flavio 👋

Brazilian by passport, Berlin-based by logistics, and currently fueled by curiosity, good conversations, and the next place I have not been to yet.

I work in education and training, which basically means I spend my days helping smart people think more clearly, solve problems, and communicate better.

Outside of that, I’m a serial learner. Languages, history, economics, random cultural facts. If there’s a “why” behind something, I probably want to dig into it.

I’m easygoing, respectful, and low-maintenance as a guest. Happy to share stories over coffee, cook something Brazilian if ingredients allow, or disappear quietly with a book if you need your space.

I tend to connect well with people who enjoy ideas, travel stories, and a bit of structured chaos.

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

I use Couchsurfing because it lets me travel more slowly and more deeply. Staying with locals makes trips last longer, feel more human, and go beyond the standard tourist loop.

I genuinely enjoy connecting with people who live in the places I visit. Hearing how life actually works there, what people care about, and how they see their own city. It also makes travel less lonely. Sharing a meal, a walk, or a simple conversation often becomes the highlight of the trip.

For me, Couchsurfing is less about a free place to stay and more about exchange. Perspectives, stories, routines, and small insights you never get from a guidebook.

I’m curious by default and tend to enjoy things that mix people, thinking, and a bit of movement.

I like board games and videogames as a social excuse more than for competition. Cooking is another favorite. Simple meals, shared kitchens, and improvising with what’s available. Learning languages is a long-term obsession. I enjoy both the structure and the inevitable mistakes that come with it.

I’m into psychology and history, mostly because they help explain why people and societies behave the way they do. I also enjoy long chats about almost anything, from daily life to slightly nerdy topics.

To balance all the thinking, I run, go to the gym, and play badminton when I can. Nothing extreme, just enough to stay sane while traveling.

Music: Epic movie soundtracks. The kind that makes even a normal walk feel slightly cinematic.

Movies: Mystery and fantasy. I enjoy stories that slowly reveal themselves or build a convincing alternative world.

Books: Detective stories, especially Arthur C Doyle, Agatha Christie, and Donna Leon. I like sharp observation, quiet logic, and plots that reward paying attention.

I built High Bridge Academy from scratch. Turning an idea into something real, useful, and lasting, and seeing it help people grow has been one of the most rewarding projects of my life.

I can teach practical problem-solving, clear thinking, and how to structure ideas so they actually make sense to other people. I’m also happy to help with presentations, communication, or career thinking if that’s useful.

I’m always keen to learn from locals. How life really works in your city, the unwritten rules, the history behind places, and the small details no guidebook ever mentions. Languages especially. I enjoy picking up expressions, accents, and the logic behind them.

What I like most is exchange. Conversations, perspectives, and everyday insights. If we both walk away having learned something new, it’s a win.

I can share good conversation, curiosity, and respect for your space and routine. I’m an easy guest. Clean, organized, and mindful of boundaries.

I’m happy to cook a Brazilian meal if the kitchen allows, go for a walk or run together, or just exchange stories over coffee or tea. I also enjoy helping in practical ways, whether that’s giving thoughtful feedback, helping think through a problem, or simply being good company after a long day.

Mostly, I try to leave places and people better than I found them.
