About Me
Hey, I'm Fletcher, 20 years old and am in my second gap year after having saved up for the whole of my first year off, because of that I'm looking to use my savings to fund a massive year of travelling and go all around seeing as much and doing as much as I can. I'm up for anything if it means a new story to tell in the future, and I'm hoping to see all walks of life to richen up my perspective on the world. I'm also a pescatarian, a veggie who eats fish. Promise I'm not picky, just my diet since babyhood 😔
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking to meet people and make memories I'll be able to look back on forever, I want to enjoy my time as much as possible and be able to be proud of what I've accomplished, and talking to and learning about as many people from as many different cultures and backgrounds will do that for me.
Interests
I've been training in muay thai for 2 years now, and it started as something to get me doing something other than school work but turned into a deep passion of mine! I've met some really great people just from punching each other in the face (safely) and it's been an amazing skill I'll carry with me forever.
Music is my other passion, I've been going in and out of sound engineering for about 5 years now, but it's something that's never really been the forefront of my life as much as I love it. I've got an A-Level in music tech, which was definitely my most enjoyable A-Level. Aside from that I've been listening my whole life (like everyone else), my dad introduced me to reggae really young, and from there I listened to any and all genres, as long as the sound tech behind it is interesting I can appreciate anything!

Don't really read many books, but I'm big on comics and manga
E.g. Anything DC, Seinin/Shounen, Slice of life, Detective
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Can't really say I'm that remarkable of a person but hoping I'll change this post January (going to Norway for my first solo travel trip 👍)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm up to share any of my knowledge in my interests if anyone's at all interested, I love to ramble about the things I like, especially muay thai. If you're up for learning how to throw a punch or a kick I'd be happy to teach 🙌
In terms of learning, I'm up for anything and everything, if you've got something you're passionate about I want to be just as passionate about it too. Main thing I'd like to learn about though is how different things are for different people, and how different walks of life affect people. If we can pick eachother's brains then we'll get a good conversation going
What I Can Share with Hosts
The last thing I want to be is a pain in the ass, so I'll do my best to leave the house in the state I found it in if not better, I'll help around as much as I can, and I'll follow whatever the pace you set to be, I'm thoroughly open to good conversation and criticism, if I'm doing too much or too little, it's not something I'll take to heart and just something I'll change then and there to be a better guest.
