Explore New England's wild places; find friends in my newly adopted country (the US); meet fellow activists working on the environment and climate change!

ABOUT ME

I have just landed in the beautiful city of Keene, NH, and can't wait to explore the US!

I get excited about: meeting awesome folk and seeing what fires them up; exploring the natural world (mountains, forests, lakes); campaigning on poverty and climate change; identifying trees (they're different on this side of the Atlantic!); long distance cycling (the best way to travel); hitchhiking (second best); finding alternative communities that are living in accordance with the earth; discovering new culture in music, song, poetry, books.... And I'm desperate to connect with US activists working on fossil fuels, climate change, poverty and injustice. We have much work to do!

Have hosted people in Edinburgh and have surfed in Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland and Canada.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I LOVE the concept of connecting with living, breathing locals and making friends - all while on an adventure. Also, it's free!

I am NOT into jet-setting, selfie-snapping, hotels or AirBnB... I like to take my time in a place, get to know the ambience, and learn from the wisdom of those who live and work there.

Interessen

I LOVE talking politics, social change, climate change, awesome projects that are really, truly kicking ass and changing the world... And I love meeting people who share this too :-)

But more importantly, take me to a pub and show me some good beer, and I am your friend for life.

And if anyone's ever up for teaching my yoga, jiu jitsu, or kayaking... That would be awesome!

I can darn socks, play the piano, strip a bike (and rebuild, hopefully), find good pubs in strange cities -- all these wonderful skills I can pass to you.
