CURRENT MISSION

i would like to be slightly famous, not for my face, but for something i invented/built/created.

ABOUT ME

They would probably say I was technologically behind, but I think that I am just carefully selective of the electrical objects I own. I have also been told I don't seem like I am vegetarian, I'll take that as a compliment to my dietary habits. I am often terrible at shopping.

PHILOSOPHY

Tough, I think that it is under continuous development. I have things I would like to achieve in life, but I try not to worry too much about the smaller things. I think this comes from being adaptable and open, and eradicates a large amount of unwanted stress. Its all about the scale.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not couch surfed or hosted..so now it is time for that to change. About to set off on a cycle with a friend to Spain from England and thought that this would be the time, plus it is too cold for camping. Hopefully when I have a new place to live in Dessau, Germany where I study I can then host people. Will update when experience allows.

兴趣

Maps, reading and making, planning my journey across them, or mapping where I went. Google earth also fuels the passion. But neither of these can beat looking out of the window of a plane on a cold clear wintery day over northern europe and watching places appear, coastlines, forests and towns and cities lost in the landscape.
I supplement this with cycling, when time and weather works for me. It is the my perfect mode of movement which has both the positives of walking and the freedom of driving a car. And most of the time it is painless to jump with them on the train when it all gets too much.
Then the standards; I like to cook with and for people, play cards, drink red wine, dance, new people, old friends, laugh, play with dogs, read, swim in the sea. etc.

I have had the benefit of growing up in a family who love the sea. So every year I have spent time out bashing up and down the channel, hopping round the scottish islands and floating down the dutch canals. Sometimes happy to be there, other times not so much. There are some amazing moments that occur at sea, which leaves you in a 'snow globe' seeing nothing but sky and sea and sometimes star. Time stops. There are also moments when deep in fog, listening for other ship horns for hours, to then pass out of the wall of cloud into pure sunshine. A complete transformation.
