ABOUT US

We're a fairly laid-back couple. Alex works full-time night shift, while I work occasional week days & every weekend. We never charged while we had space to host folk as it's always a good laugh to meet new people. We've hosted quite a few travellers & small groups, some of which have left awesome references. We have just the 1 black cat after losing our girl in December 2022 so not a great place to stay for the allergic (or superstitious :-P). Non-smoking household.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to live on a protest site called Faslane Peace Camp in the West of Scotland, also available on here to Couchsurfers. Hitching and crashing at various peoples houses was just part of the lifestyle. I met so many amazing and inspiring people and got so much life experience from living on site. We had a lot of people from a lot of different countries passing through and staying with us, which was amazing for gaining international contacts.

As you can see from the lovely people who've been kind enough to leave references we've had great fun hosting in the past.

I host a website RSH.scot (RandomScottishHistory.com) & @RandomScottishHistory on YouTube. I like being able to chill out in a room full of mates. Gigs and doing anything that's a bit different. Gaining life experiences.

I love good movies, books and music! My favorite books have to be anything from the discworld series by Terry Pratchett, very funny and the continuation between books with the characters and areas described is real clever. I'm into absolutely anything music-wise. Rock, metal, club, chillout, hiphop...from Marilyn Manson, Opeth, Korn to Prodigy, Chemical Bros, DJ Tiesto to Kosheen, Delerium to BabyMetal & JPop. I love horror movies. Some of my fave films are Hoodwinked, Marvel/DC (unless Christian Bale's in it then you can stick it :-P), the Grudge, House of 1000 Corpses, Ichi the Killer...
