Settling back into life in Brisvegas

ABOUT ME

Obviously (being on couch surfers) I love to travel. I love listening to people's stories about travel and am always open to new experiences and new places. Each time I tick somewhere off on my 'travel to-do list', I add another few places on. I've just returned to my home town - Brisbane from living overseas for three years.

I have worked a ski season in the French Alps where I fell in love with snowboarding. I love the beach just as much as the snow, and have backpacked through Europe for two summers and spent the last in California working with kids at an adventure camp.

I am a strong believer in achieving a work life balance - and enjoy practising yoga as well as having a beer or two.

PHILOSOPHY

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am not fussy about the type of couch, or colour of carpet, it's more about the people you meet and experience you have! I have had great couchsurfing experiences traveling through europe, and now i've settled in one place, I'm excited to play host.

Intereses

I love meeting new people and hearing about their different experiences which inspires my own travel. I love photography (am not so good at it, but appreciate others photography). The same goes for music, I wish I could play, but am pretty happy sitting back and listening. One of my favourite things is relaxing with a beer/cider/glass of wine and listening to a band play.

I enjoy cooking a nice dinner and staying home with family and friends but I also like to party. If I host you I will be more than happy to show you local bars or my favourite clubs, and I hope you will do the same for me!

I am a coffee nutter - being a barista, I naturally sample coffee all over the world. Coffee for me is not just the actual contents of the cup, but the whole experience of the cafe etc.

I like the outdoors and find that a walk or run is the best thing to clear my head and make me feel alive. I also am passionate about snowboarding and yoga.

Música, películas y libros

Currently reading the Millennium trilogy by Stieg Larsson, like all kinds of books - biographies, mystery, drama. One of my favourite parts of traveling is not choosing books, but swapping books with other backpackers.

I most type of music including indie rock and indie pop, folk, blues n roots, electro, house, dubstep, dnb, experimental, old school and even will have a boogie to top 40 pop songs! I also am a proud champion for Australian made music :)
