I moved to Aachen after I spent a fantastic year in southern Vietnam working as a volunteer English-teacher.
I am currently studying mechanical engineering here in Aachen and I hope that I'll get along well enough to not forget living and traveling.
If there's one thing I learned during my one-year stay in Southeast Asia it would be being patient and taking things slowly. A certain amount of imperturbability can save you a lot of troubles and stress. So I try to apply these principles in my daily life even though it is kind of hard in our modern western society.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I made great and interesting experiences with couchsurfers staying at our place in Vietnam and with the CS-community in Saigon.
We hosted CSlers for several times and I've met many couchsurfers in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
Playing handball, volleyball and football. And traveling of course!
Music, Movies, and Books
The Discovery of Slowness, because it is a great book underlining what I've written above.
Lord of the Rings, both books and movies because it's Lord of the Rings ;)
The Solitude of Prime Numbers, because it teaches you to be happy with what you have.
And many more.
