Am currently a student of cognitive science at the University of Edinburgh, but am doing a year abroad at Humboldt Universitat Berlin, where I have recently got into stand-up comedy. I am a very sociable person and I love to travel and meet new people. I am very interested in anthropology, psychology, philosophy, and martial arts. In my spare time I train with the university's Judo club, and I also compete at an amateur level. I also did kickboxing for most of my teenage years, as well as tae kwan do.

I enjoy cooking, reading, relaxing, and also going out - anyone who can point us to the direction of a good bar, or show us the local nightlife would be great! In the summer I love to go to festivals, in between working part time as a waitress.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I'm travelling, I love to meet new people, especially ones who know the area. Meeting people of different backgrounds, nationalities, etc. turns a good trip into a great one! I love to socialise, hear what other people have to say, and make connections all over the world.

Interests

I am very interested in the subject that I study - Cognitive science. I am also very interested in different ways of treating mental health problems - such as the recent research into using psychedelic drugs to treat depression. I am a very active person and love martial arts.

I like a lot of different kinds of music, but to name a few artists I would say - Amy Winehouse, Bob Dylan, Tracy Chapman, French Kiwi Juice, Jorja Smith, Erykah Badu, and Alt-J.

My favourite books are "The Bell Jar", "Memoirs of a Geisha", Khaled Hosseini's books, and many more!

I don't usually watch movies but I love "Submarine" and "Kill Bill".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 16, I went to India for 3 weeks with my grandfather, and we travelled around the North.
