ABOUT ME

When you lived out of a backpack for some time and know the feeling of hitting the road, it´s hard to go back to a "normal life".
For me it´s not just seeing new places, that keeps me travelling, for the most part it´s the lifestyle (living simple, living with less)!
So I´m just waiting for my next escape.
I´m out there to create a new life for myself and to rid myself of the old point of views!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet extraordinary people, that allow me a look inside their culture and society. People, that are willing to share there experience with me!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At the moment I have my first (official) couchsurfing-experiences and I really enjoy it! It is like I imagined it: lovely and interesting hosts with a lot to give! I really want to keep going and hope I will be lucky with people, willing to share their lifes/houses with me!!!

Interests

One of my passions is listening to Music: heavy, fast, but I`m also interestet in classical music, Singer-Songwriter, Punk, Blues, Folk (irish, bagpipes, etc.), a bit Electrnic Music ....!

I like classic literature (and really enjoy reading, if I have time for it and I´m in the right mood).

I learning to play Guitar (a couple of years now) and always happy if i can find someone that can show me something!
I would love to meet people that would teach me something on the instrument!

I like to be creative, but too often I don´t feel inspired, maybe new people bring new ideas?!
I like to write and to draw (most times not really good, though, haha) and to create my own little melodies on the guitar (unfortunate my skills are still pretty limited)!

I love to hop on the bicycle!
- I´m looking for someone to share thet passion with!!!!

I like to do a bit of Yoga from time to time (not as much as I used to, though).

I love nature and being oudoors (hiking, .... whatever)!
I`m not such a great fan of big cities and prefer small towns with a country-like flair!

I like reading the Classics (if I´ve got time for it and in the right mood): they have a special charm!
I guess it´s also the romantic period that fascinates me: it seems to me that life was somehow a bit slower back then and there was more connection with natur´s beauty (but I´m pretty sure it´s just an illusion)!

I really like Goethe´s Faust, Henry David Thoreau Walden, Eichendorff works, ....

When I was younger, I watched movies excessively (Ohh god, I loved movies)! But then i found myself hiding in a "dream-world" and I decided, that the reality can give me much more and is much more interesting!
Anyway, I still have my favorites: The Boondock Saints, The Devil`s Rejects, Fight Club, Yes Man, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One year work in a psychiatry!
It was very life-changeing for myself + character-forming!

One year New Zealand, which I travelled by pushbike!
I met a lot of nice and interessting people along the road (meeting people through coincidents: knocking on doors at the evening to find a place to sleep in someones backyard)! And I hope, that was just the beginning of my journey around this world and through Life!

"Sailing-Trip" along the coast of the Northern Territory of Australia: 10 days out of sea, slightly seasick, no shower, every 6 hours watch --> beautiful stars at night though, all in all an amazing experience

9 Months in a buddhist monastery, which changed my perspective pretty radical!

5 months in india, a complete contrast to everything i ever seen!

Teach, Learn, Share

I wanna learn from the life-stories of the people I meet along my way! Everyone has something to share and so I listen and learn!
I`m more than happy to share my travel experiences!
I would like to give/get some musical recommendations + talk/discuss about music!
Who knows, maybe I can learn something on the guitar (perhaps even try to have a little jam-session together)?
Why not going for a ride together?
Maybe learning some cooking-tricks/tipps?
I`m always happy, if someone can help me to improve my English!
