ABOUT ME

We are a young married couple. We both love to travel. At the moment we´re back in good old Germany, but we might go to Ozzie in the near future.. We lived in the South of France on the beautiful "cote d´azur" and worked hard in a nursery for ornamental plants. After 2,5 years we decided to go travelling for a longer time and we started our trip in Southeast Asia. We´ve been there for about 2 months, enjoyed life and we continued going to New Zealand with a Working Holiday Visa. For our honeymoon we picked apples for 10 weeks, which was quite a test, but we masterd it. We are pretty happy open minded people, funloving and we don´t say no to a good beer or a nice fire outside.. we are not anymore the big party animals, but still, if there is something going on, we won´t say no at all.. peace.

PHILOSOPHY

One day one will officially have to admit that that what we have christened reality is an even bigger illusion than the world of the dream.
We both think that life is too short to waste your time.. so, let´s go for it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We participate because it´s really nice to meet other people, share interests and get to know a city from somebody who´s living there.. If u come one time to our city, we will show u the magnificant places..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We don´t have that much couchsurfing experience, but we already had some experiences where we just met people and we stayed overnight at their house. Or i was in Guatemala one time and we didn´t find a room to stay overnight.. there was this supernice family who offerd us a room to stay. It belonged to their daughters, but they just moved out for the night. How great is that?

Interests

We are interested in so many things that it changes sometimes from week to week. In general we are interested in nature, specially permaculture (at the moment..) good music (i love old reggea), how to cook good food (also healthy if possible..) having nice talks around a fire and sports.. Beachvolleyball, Basketball, Football, Table Tennis etc.

Music also a little bit of everything.. depends on the mood we are.. Reggea, Oldies, Jazz, Blues, Classic, House, Drum& Bass, Jungle yoooo.
We read a lot, but i just know the german titles, so i don´t know if they translated in 1:1

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think a incredible thing what we did was in Laos last year. It´s called "The Gibbon Experience". We flew over the rainforest on Ziplines, sometimes 100 meters above ground.. the longest one was approx. 1km.. we slept in Treehouses and is was just amazing..
Our wedding was also cool. We flew with a Helicopter up on "The Ledge"- Cecil Peak in Queenstown, New Zealand.. That was just beautiful..

Teach, Learn, Share

Karin is doin Reiki (Flo as well now..). A Japanase healing which is wonderful relaxing.. She has the third degree so far (one before the master.. yeah..) and will continue.. She´s always happy to give you Reiki. We both can cook pretty good (i think..), so if you want to know some nice recipes.. don´t hesitate.
I can tell you a little bit about plants, trees, your garden, fishing and how to get the guts out of a rabbit.. ; )
