Hi, I’m Flora!

I’m a travel filmmaker and adventure YouTuber from the Netherlands, currently exploring the world full-time. I’m passionate about hiking in the mountains, storytelling, and finding those off-the-beaten-path places that most people overlook.

My travels have taken me from the remote valleys of Pakistan to the peaks of Nepal and the islands of Indonesia—and I love connecting with locals and fellow travelers along the way. I usually travel solo, but I never feel alone because of the incredible people I meet.

I’m always up for a good conversation (especially over coffee), and I value cultural exchange, shared stories, and a sense of community. I’m tidy, respectful, and generally out exploring most of the day—but I’ll always come home with interesting stories to share.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I love getting a real glimpse into local life—beyond hotels and tourist spots. Some of my most meaningful travel memories have come from shared meals, long conversations, and spontaneous connections with strangers who became friends.

In terms of reading, I'm a big fan of Haruki Murakami, and I love love love all books from Benjamin Alire Saenz. Current read is the Fourth Wing series (fantasy novel).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently climbed a 6,000+ meter Himalayan peak in Nepal (Lobuche East)… with zero mountaineering experience. It was freezing, terrifying, and one of the hardest things I’ve ever done—both physically and mentally. But reaching the summit (after days of doubt, altitude headaches, and self-questioning) reminded me that sometimes, stepping way outside your comfort zone is exactly what you need.

As a travel YouTuber, I focus on exploring lesser-known or often misunderstood places—my goal is to change how people see the world, one story at a time.
