Intense & passionate.
Being passionate about what you're doing. Being loving, honest, strong and vulnerable at the same time. To me it means giving yourself 100% and it's the only way I know how to deal with any situation and/or person I encounter.

Often I'm exploding with enthusiasm and curiosity. Eager to find out why things happen the way they do. So I apologize in advance for all the questions I WILL be firing at you ;-)

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been hosting a lot of people, friends, friends of friends or people I've just met, who need a place to crash for one or a couple of nights. I've always liked these spontaneous slumberparties and the fun, talking, watching movies or going for a nightwalk till the sun rises again that comes along with it.
So I figured signing up to couchsurfing is a great way to get it touch with like-minded people and have more of this.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couch and bed have been 'surfed' by several friends and people I just met and I've surfed some (un)known couches myself..
In Bangkok I had my first 'official' couchsurfing experience while traveling Southeast Asia, loved it! :-)

Interesses

Dancing. I've been dancing for quite some years now, flirting with several different partner dances, like ballroom and latin dancing, a bit of swing and rock 'n roll, balfolk, salsa and my latest crush is Argentine tango and kizomba.
I really enjoy dancing, the connection you make with a partner you might not (yet) or barely know, without speaking a word with him or her. It is just great!

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Reading and watching movies, whenever theres space in my head for this I really enjoy a 'silent' moment to immerse in all of that. The thing that really annoys me though, is the fact that I tend to forget every story I've seen or read.
But on the other hand.. maybe that makes me the perfect company for watching a movie: you won't find me whispering sentences or spoiling all the fun by telling you what will happen next. ;-)

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

Hitchhiking my way through Belgium, Spain and (mostly) France with my then-boyfriend and of course traveling through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Birma for five months on my own.

The next amazing thing is planned already; from December 13th I'll fly out to Jakarta to travel South East Asia a bit more :-)

Ensine, Aprenda, Compartilhe

As said before, I like to learn and find out about all the 'why', 'how', 'when' and 'what' in the world around me.
Lately I'm specifically interested in cooking and photography. And of course there's dancing and music, I'd love to experience and learn about that more and more.

And in exchange I can show you the city and the way I like living in it and/or share some (tango)dances with you.
For several years I've been teaching ballroom and latin dances at the dancing society I've founded. So teaching you how to cha cha, quickstep or jive shouldn't be a problem..
And of course I'm always willing to teach you some Dutch signlanguage or plain (spoken) Dutch if you want.
