About Me
Hi! I’m Florencia.
I was born in Buenos Aires, but I left the city in 2006. Since then, traveling has been a big part of my life.
I loved couchsurfing because it gave me the chance to meet local people, explore new cultures, discover hidden places, and have unique life experiences.
Now, I’m back in Buenos Aires and excited to meet travelers and local people again!
Let’s see how active this community is here :)

Hola, soy Florencia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My first couchsurfing experience was in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2011. I stayed with a lovely couple, and we connected instantly. I was amazed by the trust they showed us—they gave us the keys to their apartment without hesitation! Years later, while living in Bariloche (Patagonia, Argentina), I did the same when I hosted a traveling couple. I showed them around my home, told them where they would sleep, gave them the keys... and left for work. They had the same surprised and grateful reaction I once had.
Later, I traveled around Southeast Asia, mixing guest houses with couchsurfing. Even though accommodation there was really cheap, my friends and family didn’t understand why I still chose to couchsurf. The reason? Three days couchsurfing gave me more meaningful experiences, connections, and new friends than any guest house could.
Back in Argentina, I hosted a few travelers in my home in Bariloche—even if they weren’t official couchsurfers, they had the same open and generous spirit. A few years later, I did a bike trip around Europe and joined another traveler community that also focused on human warmth, generosity, and real connections.

Interests
I really love nature and outdoor sports.
I use to spend the summer around Bariloche’s lakes, trekking and camping. During the winter I snowboarded at Catedral Mountain
2014 I discovered a new passion: Bouldering! I did not continue with it... :(
Now I am into running (city sport) :)
