Hi, I'm traveling the US west coast. This music lover also loves art, film and other cultural and arty stuff. I like to explore cities and nature, figure out people and the world (politics and philosophy). My favorite kinds of exercise are swimming, hiking and cycling (I'm Dutch, duh).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hospitality is something that makes me happy, I like to help nice people. I'm traveling solo to the west coast of the US this summer and I'd love to meet people during my trip. I've been working (too) much in the past years, so I did not host anyone yet, but I look forward to welcome travelers when I'm back home.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like loads of music, especially indie and psychedelic rock, electronic, pop, jazz and experimental stuff. I used to work in the Dutch music industry so I saw loads of great artists live spreading their energy. Going to concerts is still one of my favorite things to do.
Movies: I'm an arthouse snob, but I also enjoy Hollywood movies.
Books: I love to read - especially on vacation, but I need to take more time to do so. Now reading: How Music Works by David Byrne and a book by a Flemish author.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fixing the low pressure in my home's boiler myself! Oh and climbing Mont Ventoux in France, when I was twelve years old. Organizing a festival from scratch. Traveling!

Music recommendations, if you're interested. People also say I'm good at baking Dutch pancakes and French toast. I'd love to help cooking or cook for you and washing the dishes is no problem of course. Please help me find the best ice cream place in town and I will treat you to some.
