HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I lived in Ann Arbor, MI, I hosted surfers. Now I am in New Jersey, the place I live is harder to host, so I hope to participate more in the community more, hanging out with like-minded people.

I have hosted and couch surfed, the experience has been great.

Life in general. I enjoy nature, spring is my favorite season. I learn Japanese in my spare time, and dream to live in Japan someday.

I love travel with no fixed itinerary, be spontaneous and take time to immerse into local life.

I want to master swing dance, banjo, and calligraphy.

I am a movie lover, such as mystery/EndofWorld movies (Knowing,2012,...); inspirational movies (Forrest Gump, 300,Hugo,...), music movies (Fame, Burlesque, Black Swan,...), and Hollywood movies (Inception, Avatar, Avengers, Drive,...)

Music: I like music across many genres - country, pop, rock, jazz, Jpop. What matters is whether I can feel the emotions in the songs, and whether they resonate with my own feelings. Some of the artists and bands I like: Hank Williams, Don McLean, the Beatles, Queen, Eagles, Muse, Areosmith, Bruno Marks, Maroon 5, Fun, Lana Del Ray, and many many more Chinese and Japanese singers.

Books: I haven't been reading books as much as I should because of busy life - it is a luxury on a Sunday afternoon, go to a local coffee shop and read a book:) I love reading New Yorkers with breakfast.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Snorkeling in the water of Dry tortugas, Key West was absolutely amazing. Right along the base of the fortress, there were amazing coral reefs and colorful fish everywhere. As I swam away from the fortress, there was a giant boulder like a basin on top, and a school of small fish, about 500 of them, floating in the basin as if they were sleeping on a bed. I was there with them for minutes, and none of them were disturbed by me. Absolutely wonderful experience.
