Mission?! My project: I hope to continue to be productive and love in a compassionate manner!
I am a speck of dust who thinks she can make a difference in this world and who tries to do what she can to make this world a cosier and more compassionate place... And who would like to do a lot more against the exploitation of human and non human animals!I don't eat animals or wear their skins or eat or use any animal-related products. Love learning and sharing about everything... I am in love with India and things Indian! There's a spontaneous child aspect in me, and I nurture it!Oh, and I feel I identify with many "elements" from various parts of the world rather than my place of birth. :-)Just like myself, this space is always under construction! ;-)
"Why do I live my life?"Hmmm, to always strive to be more caring, understanding, and empathetic! I hope I have self-distanciation... Self-mockery...I hope I'm always self-critical!
A few thoughts...
Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional."Why do the babies starveWhen there's enough food to feed the worldWhy when there are so many of usAre there people still alone Why are the missiles called peace keepersWhen they're aimed to killWhy is a woman still not safeWhen she's in her home..." ~Tracy Chapman"We all love animals. Why do we call some 'pets' and others 'dinner'?" ~k.d. lang"I will not eat anything that walks, runs, skips, hops, or crawls. (...) I've crawled on occasion, and I'm glad that no one ate me." ~Alex Poulos"People often say that humans have always eaten animals, as if this is a justification for continuing the practice. According to this logic, we should not try to prevent people from murdering other people, since thishas also been done since the earliest of times." ~Isaac Bashevis Singer"I do feel that spiritual progress does demand at some stage that we should cease to kill our fellow creatures for the satisfaction of our bodily wants." ~Gandhi
"Don't dwell on what
has passed away
or what is yet to be.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in." ~Leonard Cohen
