About Me

English.-

I am not chilean, I am from Argentina, but I have been living in Santiago de Chile for 5 years and I know the city quite well, so I have a lot of useful information to share for those who need key tips. My boyfriend Juan lives with me and he´s from Mendoza.

Something very important about me: I love maps, books, and languages, so when I host someone I love to receive maps of their home cities :)

Important: By the moment we only have a single bed and a simple mattress that can be placed on the floor. So wecan host a maximum of two people.

I love the heat, I can not tolerate the cold. I like to drink mate in any occasion, preferably bitter or with very little sugar. The most sacred thing I have is my library, I read mainly about politics, history, philosophy, sociology, international affairs, etc., I always thought I should read more fiction to clear myself up a bit. I do not like being talked to when I wake up, I'm a hygiene maniac. I love swimming, I love water, I love water sports.

We have a cat called Pupo (that is forbidden to get into the house cause he usually break things and likes to climb on the table and enter into the restroom) and a very loving female dog called Manila. They really love to meet people.

One thing that we hope to avoid with our guests is that they don´´t take care of the furniture and any other objects, since we have had bad experiences in which the guests damaged bathroom things, chairs, and pans. If they by chance have an oversight and break something, we hope they buy it again without asking us.

We don´t host people who are planing to stay in the city permanently as a tenant or roommie, cause the idea is to help travelers who are passing through.

Aswell we always try to help and advice our guests with the problems they may have and we are very respectful with their schedules and plans, so we always expect them to respect our rest times (which are sometimes a bit unusual).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I use listen to many musical genres, but my favorites are rock, blues, classical music, folklore, afro music and reggae.

Movies: I like millions of movies, I love european cinema, I love documentaries and real stories.

Books: I could spent hours making the endless list of books that I like, so to avoid that, I prefer to name authors. Some of my favorites are Hermann Hesse, Hannah Arendt, Che Guevara, Pedro Lemebel, Felipe Pigna, Jean Baudrillard, etc.

"The doors of perception" gave me the goosebumps, it´s totally fascinating.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I crossed the mountain range of the Andes (Codillera de Los Andes) on foot.
- I survived two weeks in New York with 250 dollars.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will teach everything I know, everything I learn day by day, and everything you want to learn from me. I am open and determined to learn as many things as possible, so I love engaging in long and interesting conversations.
