I have discovered Couchsurfing by planning a backpack trip through Europe with my boyfriend. I find it to be a lovely way to discover new faces and sharing different cultures, points of view, and simply making new friends. I've done some volunturing in the Philippines during 3 weeks when I was 16. I had planned this during 2 years with my high school, raising money before we went there. I've had the extraordinary chance to discover a new culture, and wonderful kind and welcoming people.
