About Me

What kind of traveler am I?

I prefer in general long term traveling over just going somewhere for a weekend of week and than go back home. I prefer getting to know a place more in depth, by either staying longer somewhere, or connect to the locals. This does not apply if I travel for workshop or seminar, which I often do, but manly inside Germany, because than I manly focus on that and don’t have the capacity to also get to know more people outside of this context.

One of my longest travels was staying a year in Latin America (mainly Peru). Here I also learned my Spanish with a Peruvian accent, which I might still have today. I immersed by having local friends, living with Peruvians in a shared house, doing voluntary and non-voluntary work for and with Peruvians. I even had a Peruvian girlfriend that time, but after going back to Germany we separated after half a year of long distance relationship.
I was fascinated by living like a Peruvian, but also the actual traveling around time by time together with German and/or Peruvian friends inside of the country.

Currently I am on a longer travel again. Half a year living with my partner in a van in sicily, Italy and now doing the camino of santiago (francese) in november/december. I might need a host sometimes as its hard to find an albergue in that times.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
In the moment more a meditional, relaxing music listener, but I had different phases in my life - I really like 80s Dance music and German/International Techno. In my times that Inhave lived in Berlin and Münster I liked going out with friends and often alone in pure techno clubs - not for talking, not for drinking, but just for dancing in my own wierd style. I really like to move my body to music - but most of the time prefer dancing on my own. But from time to time I have that magical connection with someone. Probably that thing that all the tango and dance impro people are looking for. But yeah I am not trained in any specific style.

Series:
not really watching anything at the moment - but some stuff I have liked in the past:
Game of Thrones, Family Guy, Jerks, House of Cards, In Treament, Suits, Stromberg (The German “The Office”), Scrubs
The series must be either about psychological games people play with other or themselves - or about dark humor and shameful stupidness.
