ABOUT ME

I'm from the Netherlands, but I currently live in the lovely KaosKollektivet in Aarhus, Denmark, where I work as a film maker, photographer and illustrator.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been living in collectives for the last 12+ years.
We always had an open door and a place to sleep for passing travelers. Most of these were friends of friends of acquaintances of friends of acquaintances of acquaintances of friends of friends. Basically couchsurfing, but minus the website.
When I moved to Denmark, I was first introduced to this site, as we have a house CS account (http://www.couchsurfing.org/kaoskollektivet)
and we've been hosting quite a few people, both through CS and other channels. It's always nice to meet new people, or/and to just help someone out.
After almost 3 years of hosting through the house account, I figured it was about time to make my own.

Interests

I love music, and try to teach myself how to play whatever sounds nice. I mix and produce electronic music, play the guitar and ukulele, and since a few days I've been teaching myself how to play the piano.
I love animals, all animals. From bugs to dogs to chickens to unicorns. You name 'em, I love 'em. My best friend is called Flip, and he's a 12 year old labrador/shepherd/rottweiler/jack russell mix who likes to eat, sleep and cuddle. Nothing else. Throw him a ball and he'll look at you and think "What did you do that for?"
Furthermore I love cooking and baking, books, politics and film.

Teach, Learn, Share

Fixing bikes: I love it, and I can teach a thing or two.
Music: I play guitar, ukulele, I recently started teaching myself how to play the piano, I make electronic music, and I'm a bedroom DJ. I never worked with CDJ's or digital mixing, but I'd like to learn. So far I've only been mixing with vinyl. I'm always down for exchanging skills :)
