ABOUT ME

I'm an open-minded and fun loving guy. I love people, the arts, and delicious eating.

I got my first taste of Holland in 2009 during a semester abroad in Amsterdam. And just one year after that, I made my move and haven't looked back since. I get lots of eyebrows for having left New York for here, but how can one argue with taste?

My Dutch is half decent... and I always try to improve it.

PHILOSOPHY

I think we should all be able to live our own peaceful lives without judgment. I have a very open mind, but an aversion to phoniness. I like to exude energy and see how others feed off of it - I find that often when others catch my buzz, the overall energy level increases exponentially - how fun?!

I'm a big music listener. I try to be open to it in all forms. Some favorites: Neil Young, St. Vincent, Radiohead, The Mars Volta, Metallica, System of a Down, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Tangerine Dream, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, minimal techno...

I also highly enjoy films. My favorite directors are Quentin Tarantino & Stanley Kubrick, but my favorite films aren't limited to them. I dig the obvious classics (e.g. Godfather) but also some eclectic others.
