ABOUT ME

My wife Dena and I are adventuresome and look forward to travel in 2010 mostly in Europe. In January of last year we flew our private airplane from the US to Cartegena Columbia visting 7 Central American countries along the way. We met so many wonderful people who helped us and always made us feel welcome in their country. It was a great experience and has made us travelers for life.

PHILOSOPHY

Understand that life is not to be taken for granted and has an unknown timeframe. We should not put off indefinitely things that we want to accomplish or experience. For us this will mean traveling and experiencing the sites and cultures of other parts of the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My wife and I would love to have visitors from other countries spend some time with us in their travels. We have a fairly large home and the kids are now gone so there is plenty of room. We will also be planning a europeon trip next year and hope to have made some friends who will be able to tell us about their country and the ins and outs of what we should see.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This will be a first and new experience for my wife and I

Flying is our greatest passion however our interests are many. We belong to several flying clubs and also participate with a group called the Flying Samaritans. They provide doctors and nurses on a monthly basis to clinics in many of the remote areas of Baja Mexico. I can fly them down for a weekend clinic and have everyone back to the US in a matter of hours.

The last movie we saw was "Amelia" The story of the Amelia Earhart. Not very good reviews but we thourghly enjoyed the movie. Our music interests are widespread. We love dance music ie latin and salsa.

Flying a small aircraft from California to Cartegena Columbia. Over 7000 miles visiting Mexico, Guatamala, Honduras, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Panama, and Columbia.

well I am a flight instructor so I guess I can participate with aeronautical knowledge on the subject of flying. On learning I would like to increase my knowledge of history by experiencing the places of past great events.
