About Me

I'm an art and music lover, pastry chef, food writer, singer, cat lover and aesthete.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling. What more is there to say, really? I haven't used the website much, because I often travel with my family, and I don't currently have a couch at home -I know, strange, right?-. But I'm always open to meeting people who want to know a new culture, and who are willing to share theirs.

Interests

I like art, food, music, traveling, writing, cats, blue skies, the sea, spring, silence, reading, introversion, traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's too hard to make a list about it!

The music I like is the one that makes me feel something. Whether it is slow and contemplative and slow, or a bit more upbeat or violent. I don't really like metal or reggaeton though. Anything too hard on the ears is difficult to enjoy for me.

I love books byut I'm a terrible reader: if a book isn't interesting during the first few pages, I have a hard time finishing it. however, a few authors that come to mind are J.D. Salinger, Paul Auster, Raymond Carver, Amelie Nothomb...

And movies! Well... I just love cinema. I'd rather have this conversation in person! It could be a long one...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived in 5 different countries.

I started my own pastry business last year, and I'm managing it on my own.

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied art history and dropped out during my last year, then I studied to be a pastry chef and followed through. Now I'm a pastry chef (I created my own business) and an English tutor. I love cinema, literature, music, dance and food, obviously... And those are all things that I can both talk about and learn about. So it's a two way street!

I also like languages. I speak 4 languages and am trying to learn German...

What I Can Share with Hosts

My knowledge of languages, great Costa Rican coffee, good conversation when it comes to art and culture, and of course some great cooking if you're up for it!
