ABOUT ME

I love to travel - and hope to have the opportinuty too during my studies.
There's nothing better than discovering a town with the "locals" and nothing better either than showing around your own town: I always find there is something I haven't seen yet, it just takes someone to come round and I re-discover where I live!

I love meeting people, speaking different languages. I'm fluent French and English, speak a bit of German, some African dialect(very little!) and a few words of Spanish and Italian (again, few!)

Always up for new things. If I can't put you up, then call for drinks or someting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never actually surfed someones couch... that will come hopefully ... in the meantime I started to host people in june/july '10 and I'm starting to be addicted to CS!

Intereses

As a CS I love to travel, meeting new people. If I can't host someone, I try to be available to meet up at show them around a bit in Bordeaux...

Algo increíble que he hecho

The most amazing thing I've seen so far... 24 years is not a lot was last year. I was finishing an internship in Abidjan and I was tired of staying cooped up in my over protected hotel and office. So I decided to go out despite the advice of others and meet people. On the bus, on the way abck from the beach, all these peolpe were singing and dancing, just like that... the way one does I suppose. It was like being in a film. We were driving through a "corridor" (that's a very narrow road at the entrance of Abidjan where corrupt policemen stop who they wish for whatever reason usually until they give them money to be free). We were driving past these abandonned cars, guarded people, strange looking people with no shirts on and a kalash over their shoudler (apparently the police...) and these people were just singing a whole load of songs thanking jesus for his protection and so on convinced if they sang the police wouldn't stop the bus. They didn't. I don't believe in all that and I'm not a religious person (God no!!) but seeing all these people so close to each other because of this common belief and the general festive atmosphere on the bus despite the morbid and scary surroundings made... I don't know, happy? Maybe not the right word, but definetely not scared neither embarrassed nor unsure of myself, it just felt good. I learnt so much on myself and on life during that bus ride. After that weekend, I went back to the beach on my own every weekend until I came back to France.

I'm crazy but that's why people like me!! I learn from every couchsurfer something and I feel that everyone who's spent a night at number 141 (chez moi!) leaves having learnt something about themseleves.
