ABOUT ME

I'm living in Italy for the summer working as an Au Pair. I'm on summer vacation, and when I return to the US I will be finishing my master's program in Social Work. I was an Au Pair for 1 year in Stockholm, Sweden from 2010-2011 and met some awesome people through couchsurfing even though I had a place to stay. I hope to meet some more interesting people in Italy!

PHILOSOPHY

As cliche as it sounds, I live to learn. I enjoy discovering new people, places, and things. I'm fascinated by culture & social norms, and strive to become a person who understands and respects all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed once in Barcelona with a great couple. They were very informative and helpful in so many ways. I stayed with them the first few days of my trip, and if I hadn't the rest of it probably wouldn't have been so enjoyable. I can't wait to surf again!

Interests

The world... travel (obviously), culture, music/attending concerts & festivals, good food, meeting new people, human rights, some "new age" things like astrology, being outdoors- you will always find me outside on a warm, sunny day! I also enjoy running, hiking, and exploring :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hiked Machu Picchu in 2008, lived in Sweden and got to visit 6 other countries that year, have traveled all over the US, experienced an earthquake and hiked a volcano in Guatemala...
