Overview
About Me
Easy going and curious human. Some axis of identity: fiction, journalism, design, organizing, and art.
I grew up in a suburb of LA in the US, spent most of my adult life in the small city in Washington State, and then the past few years I found myself in New York City and then Roskilde, Denmark. I also lived in DC, Sacramento, and the Twin Cities recently.
I enjoy glimpsing into other people's lives and learning any "insider baseball" knowledge from any subculture, profession, or world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet people, share, and travel in a more collaborative open way.
Interests
I'm a life long backpacker, long time caver, and eyeballing hang gliding if I can rob a bank or something. I love the urban landscape and it's secrets. Basically, I like to explore and take my perspective into new places, the stranger the better.

Music, Movies, and Books
To much to list. Ask me, we can talk forever. I'll try and think of something succinct to put here sometime. I can recommend so many podcasts, watch out.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked Mt. Whitney in a wedding dress, hiked the Pacific Crest Trail.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help teach English language stuff - especially writing craft or editing - also news literacy, maybe a little philosophy of personal identity, and us history/ government. I want to learn history from everywhere! I'd love to know about secret places, especially underground (and can share whatever I know).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm game to be helpful in any reasonable way I can. Food, cooking help, help around the house, share good company. If we click and build trust, I can try to facilitate a place to stay in many different places in the US for travelers.
