About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm an honest, outgoing small town girl living and loving the big city. I work hard and play harder, but I'd much rather meet new people to have all that fun with! As a theater writer and director I am always up to see a new show and love an hour at a cafe to write down ideas. As a teacher I enjoy spirited debate and exploring new places - I am always up for learning and trying new things.

Interests

I enjoy a variety of activities, most often with good company! When traveling love to hike, bike the great outdoors or walk around town, window shopping and people watching in the city. I love to play board games with a nice glass of wine. Evenings out usually begin with good food and end with music or dancing - unless you have good theater in your town and then I will gobble that up! I also am happy chilling in a park with my notebook or a good novel. From the mountains to the beach, I enjoy taking in what life has to offer and saying "yes" as often as possible to exciting new experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Ziplining to a tree house 200 feet above the forest floor in Laos. Finding tree spiders after a night of telling camp fire stories and being woken by a huge thunder clap, wondering if we would have to zipline to safety in the middle of the night!

- The hills and stone fences of the Aran Islands. Warm, toasty sweaters knit by an elderly woman selling them from her house on a back road. A pint at the pub before a long bike ride with just the cows for company.

- Being honored at an elementary school picnic in Ue Mura, Japan; putting a cone on my face as the honored guest and running an egg around a chair before getting celebratory hugs from my "adopted" little brothers. A picnic lunch with 50 children who I could not understand, followed by a barbecue with 15 adults I also couldn't understand.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a teacher by trade and can share these skills: writing (English), acting and presenting (English), networking(American system), basic ESL or math (think below 8th grade), Stage Management, Theater History, singing, basic dance including the waltz, merengue or salsa. Let's see - how to make silly faces?

I am interested in learning new languages and how to do artsy things like paint, sew or do wood working in specific ways. I also am intereste din the
