ABOUT ME

This is my second adventure around the world, this time exploring Beautiful South America. The longer I stay away from home, I'm discovering the best times and experiences are from the people I meet. I love making new friends to share them all important once-in-a-lifetime experiences (from skinny dipping to putting the world to rights over a bottle of wine). I'm loving sucking up the culture but also I enjoy having a bit of fun and cutting loose too. I'm happiest in a room full of smiling, chatty people.

PHILOSOPHY

* For me, life is not about being cool - its about enjoying yourself and letting yourself go sometimes. Silliness rocks
* I can have the best night out for less than a £10. It not about the money - its the challenge you set yourself. Money is not a hindrance to having fun: be imaginative.
* I'm never be ashamed of anything you do. Life is not made of mistakes, its made of learning curves
* I never underestimate the kindness of strangers
* Face the fear - if I fear it, I do it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not at home at the moment, but when I am back I have a floor space to offer just outside Brighton. But once I am back in the UK I would be up meeting for coffees, or offering my services as a tour guide to my home town (which I love to pieces).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've not done it yet. But I'm looking forward to giving it a try soon.

Interests

I'm a mixed bag of interests - in cities I like soaking up the atmosphere walking the mean streets. I love a good art gallery or a museum but I'm just as happy in a pub or club too. I'm trying to push myself everyday and taking on new adventures where and when I find them. So far I have been walking through waterfalls, horse riding through the mountains, rafting class 3&4s, surfing the waves of Brazil, hitch hiking in Uruguy and wine tasting in Mendoza. I love chilling out too - and you'll find I'm very laid back and put me in a room full of strangers and in a few hours I'll come out with new friends. I'll make sure that I am respectful of your home and respect your privacy and space. I loving having a personal tour guide but I understand that everyone is busy, so am happy to look after myself too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love! Love! Love Music! I love nothing better than watching live bands from pub bands to secret gigs to festivals. I'm trying to listen to all different types of music these days to expand my ears (so to speak) so am willing to listen and learn. I like to think I'm well read but I could always do with reading a bit more.

Huge turtles swimming outside my hostel window on the island of Mabul, Borneo
Swimming with school kids in a the holy waters in a temples in northern Bali
Building sand castles on the beaches of Thailand
Holding air guitar championships in London.....so much more but I'm running out of time

Teach, Learn, Share

I have no special skills that I can think of at the moment. I'm good at giving advice on which shoes to wear with which dress. And I can make a mean veggie mexican chilli...and I'm pretty good company for sharing a cup of tea and a nice slice of cake.
