ABOUT ME

Hey hey hey ! I recently completed my university degree and am now looking to learn through experience rather than from textbooks. I've been fortunate enough to travel to various parts of the world (India, South East Asia, Namibia, Western Europe), and hope to spend the next year on the open road, couch surfing, experiencing local life, sharing ideas and meeting open minded people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couch surfing experiences began in the Indian city of Mysore. Through couch surfing I met a group of extremely hospital, friendly and jovial locals as well as international couch surfers. They are what got me into surfing.

As a drummer I'm one for music with a punch. Rage Against the Machine and the Red Hot Chili Peppers top my list. I also like to slow it down and listen to Ani Difranco. The high energy of electro and the groove of hip hop also fit my fancy.

Having over 50 members of an indian village come together to help me find my camera after it was presumably stolen sticks out in my mind as a major instance of communal solidarity, a value that my experience in India has engraved in me. I was blown away with how quickly a group of people dropped everything to help out a complete stranger. Go strangers that help strangers !
