About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make it a better place for you, me and the entire human race

ABOUT ME

I recently completed a Ph.D and currently work with the United Nations Global Compact Office. Our objective is to encourage companies to be responsible world citizens via our principles on Human Rights, Labour Rights, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

While I tend to keep a very busy schedule I really enjoy all that I do and am happy with all the experiences I have and people I meet through school and work.

I love to visit new places that I have never seen before. I enjoy passing time at home with my guitar and harmonica.

I am a handy guy, I worked with a plumber for years. So if I surf your couch and you have trouble with your sink I am happy to fix it for you.

PHILOSOPHY

“Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgment. Go some distance away, because work will be in perspective and a lack of harmony is more readily seen.” –Leonardo da Vinci

"Well done is better than well said" Benjamin Franklin

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am fairly active in this experiment, by hosting when I can and always seeking out other couchsurfers when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in Thailand, Spain and Peru, and I used CS to seek out connections while in India. I had excellent and unique experiences in each country and with each host.

I have also hosted several groups of people. Each have been fun and interesting experiences. Honestly, it is tough to say "yes" that I always have a couch available in New York, as the number of requests received is insurmountable. I do love to host, but can't do it every day.

Interests

I love listening to and playing music. I play the guitar and harmonica and am interested in learning new instruments. I enjoy keeping up on world events and appreciate historical context. I like to help others and when possible to fix that which is broken.
