Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To expand my diverse universe. I have traveled throughout many countries - lived for a time in some - and have received welcome everywhere, often at the spur of the moment. I would like to offer similar hospitality.

Interests

rock climbing, expedition travel, writing, water sports, running, meeting people. Currently studying Spanish at Keene State. Intrepid traveler. Have worked and lived in several countries and journeyed through many. Some on foot. Some on a motorcycle. And some in luxury

Music, Movies, and Books

Eclectic tastes. I've studied music so listen to a wide variety with a fairly trained ear. From medieval to rap. Voracious reader but at the moment I only have time for homework in addition to my own work. Films: documentary, drama, comedy, what life is about I usually prefer films from other countries and our own indie films

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked from Irún, Spain (on the Atlantic), to Cadaqués, Spain (on the Mediterranean), along the crest of the Pyrenees, with one of my dogs. Met a mountain rescue team on vacation from Wales and trekked with them for 2 weeks. On another adventure, in Wales, we met for a reunion pub dinner. Just one example of how large one's life can get!

Teach, Learn, Share

I live with a slightly off kilter sense of humor, cook well and love to exchange adventure stories. There are lots of subjects I'm interested in and could probably go on and on. But that would leave less to talk about.

What I Can Share with Hosts

conversation, info about local happenings and places, sometimes food - depends if I'm cooking that night. FYI, you will need a car. I live in the country. That is why your senses will be saturated.
