About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spread joy and love and music and hugs! But really, as cliché as it sounds, I just want to meet new people and see cities and places through the eyes of locals who love them for their own personal reasons.

ABOUT ME

In a nutshell....I am a nut. But usually I don't make a point of using terrible puns. I do enjoy other people's usage of them though!
For me, boredom doesn't really exist, because it's a source of inspiration. I'm one of those 'arty' types...although this by no means implies I actually have any overwhelming talent in creating/designing and drawing things (unfortunately), i just really enjoy doing it. I make jewellery out of recycled objects, namely bottlecaps...and there are many people who believe consequently that i'm an alcoholic (i'm not) because the majority of the bottlecaps I use once belonged to beer.
STEPHEN FRY IS MY HERO. I wish he would narrate my life.
Massive fan of music and can basically develop a love for any genre thrown at me (within reason). Also like to play it from time to time. I own a ukulele and a pretty average set of vocal chords.
I haven't really had many opportunities to travel so far in my

PHILOSOPHY

I would like to say I live life completely in the moment. But i'm not quite at that stage yet I don't think.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking mainly to surf now rather than host. But in return I will cook breakfast...and really whatever other meals, because I thoroughly enjoy both food and the making of it. I eat almost anything (thank you unusual dishes at family outings at chinese restaurants!) and am not afraid to be somewhat creative.
I am also prepared to serenade hosts on the ukulele (but don't worry I'm not the kind of person that loves the sound of their own voice and musical talent, I don't force my music on anyone)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't yet couch-surfed. This will be my first time....everyone's gotta start somewhere right? And i'm so ready for that time to be now.

Interests

I'm a total sucker for pretty landscapes and buildings, tend to draw them because photos never turn out how you want them to unless you have one of those super-insane cameras, and lets face it, if you're an amateur like me they don't work.
Also love going out when there is decent night life.
Basically I'm not into overly touristy-activities, I prefer to get to know a place from the point of view of someone who loves it for the fact of living there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a month trekking through mountains in the south of Tanzania and doing charity work at impoverished schools. In doing so I learnt; 'Hakuna Matata' ACTUALLY DOES mean no worries (!!!); Tanzanian children are among the cutest and most joyful human beings in the WORLD and african animals and landscapes just make you wanna break out into song.
