ABOUT ME

I am a simple girl born and raised in Viareggio. One of the most important things in my life, with friends and family, is music. I play the piano since I was a child and sometimes even act as a singer. Music is a constant in my life: every person, every place, every trip and every situation is associated with a particular song. That said ... I'm a nice person, cheerful, sympathetic, dreamer (probably too much), deep (I think) and good (or so say my friends), but I'm also very touchy and maybe a bit introvert.

PHILOSOPHY

Living trying to always see the positive in even the worst situations, always smiling, always giving your best and trying to always be yourself.
I think that this sentence contains my philosophy:

"If you're reading this...Congratulations, you are alive! If that's not something to smile about, then I don't know what is!"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, I live at home with my parents and host someone is very difficult. But I'd like to give the possibility to know about my country from another point of view. I believe that the great thing about this experience is to be able to capture the true essence of a country, trying to live like a local. Also, I think it's a great opportunity to meet other people and who knows, maybe find new best friends!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It isn't much that I started, but what little I've lived this was a great experience. I was able to make pleasant encounters with people from various parts of the world and I loved it. I hope that this experience go on and that it will become even more wonderful.

Interests

Traveling, smiling, eating, music, photography, cycling, books, poetry, films, food, beer, wine, comedy, fun with friends, debete, politics and last but not least life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love films, I watch everything: thriller, comedy, auteur films, historicals, dramatics. For me watch a movie is how to escape from reality, for two hours of the film there are no more worries, just you in front of the screen, with a new adventure, new characters, new music and new places.

Music is my life and my love and for this reason I love everything that can be called such. I'm very demanding about music but I'm also very open-minded! I listen to everything from rock to classical. I love Beatles, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, REM, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, Velvet Underground, Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Joe Cocker, Pink Floyd, Beach Boys, Nirvana, Patti Smith, Joni Mitchell, Alexi Murdoch, Oasis, Cranberries, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Eddie Vedder, Edith Piaf, Ella Fitzgerald, Yann Tiersen, Chopin, Debussy, some Italian singer-songwriters like Francesco Guccini, Francesco De Gregori, Fabrizio De Andrè, Franco Battiato, Rino Gaetano and more, and more. I also like folk music, in fact before leaving for a trip I always listen to the local music, it gives me a better way to get closer to the country I am going to visit. In fact through Couchsurfing I'd also like to have a musical exchange.

I enjoy reading, I do not have a genre that I prefer because I read a bit of everything, especially novels and poetry. Although I really like poetry, in fact my favorite book is the Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters. I also love the old Russian writers like Tolstoj, Dostoevsky and Bulgakov.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think I have done many fun things in my life. But I will always remember the holiday that I did with some of my friends in the islands of Greece. We had only the return ticket and a tent. It was a great adventure plenty of amusing anecdote. :)
Anyway, the greatest thing I've ever done in my life is flying with a paraglider. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to cook something typical, maybe some dessert! :) Or I could teach you how to make coffee because anywhere do coffee as good as in Italy! :P I also even introduce you to some local musicians! However, try to ask and look what I can do! :)
I want to learn as much as possible...everything from music to food, I am open to new experiences!
